Course Description: In this course, you will review types of medication errors, how they are made, and most importantly error prevention. As a healthcare professional, you will inevitably come across patients that will need medicine administered to them therefore you must understand that medical errors are common and you are vulnerable to making them. At the end of this course, you will have a better understanding on how to prevent medical errors and how to react to when they occur. You will receive 2 units.

This In-Service Unit course will provide you information regarding Medication Safety and Error Prevention in an assisted living setting.

·         This course will award a certificate for: 2 In-Service Unit

·         Registration for payment:

o    via the ALTS Office located at: 1843 E. Southern Ave Tempe, AZ 85282.

NOTE: Once enrolled, you are given only 2 weeks to complete this course, unless suggested otherwise by an ALTS instructor. If you would like to go past your enrollment period there will be an extension fee of $5.00; you can only be re-enrolled one time.
