Course Description: This course will review the fundamentals of being a caregiver. It will demonstrate the essential knowledge you need to know to work hands-on when you are working on the field and working hands-on with your residents. A few topics this course will review include infection control and safety measures, personal care, and measuring a resident’s vital signs. At the end of this course you will be well informed on the fundamental aspects needed in order to perform as a caregiver. Once this course you have finished this course you will receive 12 in-service units.

This In-Service course will provide you information regarding Caregiver Hands-On Training in an assisted living setting.

NOTE: Once enrolled, you are given only 2 weeks to complete this course, unless suggested otherwise by an ALTS instructor. If you would like to go past your enrollment period there will be an extension fee of $5.00; you can only be re-enrolled one time.
